Introduction to Stained Glass
Learn the copper-foil "Tiffany method" of stained glass construction. You will learn how to cut, grind, foil, and solder a one-of-a-kind stained glass window or cabinet insert in this beginner class.
Intermediate Stained Glass
After completing the introduction course you can continue to learn on an hourly rate all the "cold glass" methods below.
Lead Came Construction
Learn the traditional method of constructing stained glass works using lead came instead of copper foil or the "Tiffany Method" of construction.
Flat Panel Lamps (also known as sectional lamp- making )
Learn to create individual sections of a lamp and "coning" the sections together to form a one of a kind decorative and useful lampshade.
Tiffany Style Lamps
This class involves cutting many individual pieces of glass and placing them onto a mold where the pieces are soldered into place. The finished lampshade is the style Louis C. Tiffany & Company created.
Glass Mosaics
This course involves using small pieces/tiles of glass and grout applied to a surface to achieve a decorative art form such as mirrors, tables, and bird baths.
Mosaic Stepping Stones
Create a stained glass paver for your garden made by using reuseable molds and a cement like product.
Picture Frames
Learn how to create a useful frame for your favorite photograph or as a gift using stained glass.
Stained Glass Boxes
Construct a three dimensional box from start to finish using stained glass or glass bevels.
Hot Glass Classes: (Classes by appointment only)
Glass Bead Making & Lamp Work
Learn to make beautiful, decorative glass beads suitable for creating unique jewelry such as necklaces, earrings and stick pins, or for use in fiber art or stained glass projects. This course introduces glass enthusiasts to flame work. Use the torch and glass rods to create one-of-a-kind glass beads. This is a 4 session class for 2 hours each session. Cost is $49/person plus the purchase of a bead making kit purchased from our studio valued at $131.00. Minimum of four students needed to have this class
Glass Fusion
Create your own one of a kind fused glass project. Select from several different sizes and shapes. You design and decorate your project and we kiln fire it for you. This is a one session course held on Saturdays. Cost is determined by project size.
Introduction to Glass Fusing
Introduction to the manipulation and shaping of glass through fusing and slumping techniques. This class is a four session class for three hours each session. Cost is $250/person plus a material and lab fee of $50/person. Minimum of two students needed to hold this class.
Shake 'n' Bake Fused Jewelry
Learn how to to use our HotBox Kilns to create your own fused jewelry. This is a one session class held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to l:30 p.m. Cost is $59/person plus the cost of compatible glass needed for your project. After completing this course you can rent the kiln for $7/hour on any available Saturday.
